Update…2023 same thing happened again and this device worked perfectly again. I hate discarding things that still work and, as the laptop no longer connects to the internet, it still services as a word processor ..off line and not having to pay for internet date running while I compose and edit what I am writing is a big plus.Have a really old HP simple printer which has been a workhorse over the years on an old laptop. Turned it on recently and it was dead..getting no power. This new AC package worked perfectly. The printer came back to life. YAYThe all too rapid “updating” of technology which makes perfectly useful devices inoperable creates waste and frustration. Not everyone needs all the whiz bang bells and whistles. My needs are simple and this solution was simple. YAY
